Fun Run

One of the major fund raising activities held at the Hospital is the annual fun run and to date we have raised in excess of £650,000 to fund projects and equipment at the hospital.

Patients staff their families and the local community come together on the day to join in the fun. Entrants can choose whether they wish to take the longer 3 ½ mile course or the shorter 1 mile course and may run, walk or even crawl around the course. Each entrant is awarded a medal and a Goodie bag at the end the event. There are stalls, BBQ's and lots more with loads of fun for the kids!

Last year almost 1000 people took part in the event to raise money for the hospital scanner appeal. Joan Morecambe, president of the scanner appeal, started the race and the Mayor of Hillingdon presented the cups to the previous year's winners.

To date we have collected in excess of £52,000. All proceeds went towards scanner appeal, which is now up and running thanks for all the support we received! The new machine is the latest state-of-the-art model and is used by only a handful of NHS hospitals in the UK. It will speed up diagnosis of heart and lung diseases and will be an invaluable tool world-renowned research programme.
